Who is responsible?
Copperlight Ltd, trading as Mark Woolman Consultancy, is the controller for the personal information used to handle consultancy enquiries and provide its services. Company number 17089493. Registered office: 11 Garden Court, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, AL7 1BH.

What information is used?
If you contact Mark, the information may include your name, organisation, role, contact details, your message and notes needed to understand or respond to your enquiry. It comes from you or, where relevant, the colleague who introduces us. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or identifiable information about your clients.
You choose whether to make an enquiry. Contact details and enough information to understand your request are needed to respond. If you become a client, additional information and any specific privacy arrangements will be explained as part of agreeing the work.
Why it is used, and the lawful basis
- Enquiries and professional correspondence: legitimate interests in responding to requests, running the consultancy and maintaining appropriate business relationships.
- Steps towards a contract with you, or providing that contract: contractual necessity. Where you represent an organisation, business contact information is generally handled under legitimate interests.
- Accounts and legal obligations: compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Security and dispute handling: legitimate interests in protecting the website, business and legal rights.
Making an enquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list. There are no solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
The brief planner and free prompts
The brief planner works in your browser. The text you enter is not submitted to the consultancy or saved by the planner. Downloading saves a text file to your device; copying puts it on your clipboard. If you later send that brief yourself, it becomes part of your enquiry.
The free prompt buttons copy text or share a link through your device. They do not send your information to an AI provider. Anything you paste into another service is handled under that provider’s terms and privacy notice.
Cookies, hosting and technical information
See our cookie policy for the website features, hosting-platform cookies and your choices.
This website’s own code does not set analytics or advertising cookies, use tracking pixels, or store your brief in browser storage. Fonts are hosted with the website.
The hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request details and security logs to deliver and protect the website. The public website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure and does not require visitor sign-in. Separate private previews may require ChatGPT sign-in and the platform’s session technology. Platform cookies are described separately in our cookie policy; the absence of tracking in our own code does not mean the hosting platform is cookie-free. See OpenAI’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their processing.
Who may receive information?
Information is shared only where needed: with the providers used for email, telephone, messaging, hosting and business administration; with professional advisers; with an agreed associate involved in delivering your work; or where disclosure is required by law. It is not sold or supplied for unrelated advertising.
Contact links open your chosen email, phone or messaging application. WhatsApp is an external service with its own privacy terms. You can choose email or telephone instead. Providers may process information outside the UK. Where the consultancy arranges a restricted international transfer, the applicable adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards must be in place; contact Mark for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long is information kept?
Enquiry information that does not lead to work is normally reviewed for deletion 12 months after the last meaningful contact. If a continuing discussion, complaint or legal issue requires it, relevant information is retained until that need ends. Client and contractual records are normally kept for six years after the engagement ends; accounting records follow applicable statutory requirements. Unnecessary sensitive detail should be removed sooner. Provider security logs follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, explaining your particular circumstances. You can always object to use of your information for direct marketing.
Contact Mark using the details above. Identity may need to be checked before information is released. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You do not have to contact us first.
Payments and changes
No payment details are collected through this website. Any future online payment service will be explained before it is introduced. This policy will be updated when the website or the way information is handled changes.
